11 · Troubleshooting

Issue: simulation does not converge

• Check demands (not all zero) and ensure at least one source (tank/pump).
• Loosen tolerances or try “Compare” (EPANET) to validate.
• Verify units in Settings.

Issue: negative pressures

• Indicates lack of energy; raise reservoir level, add a pump, or review diameters.
• Check elevations; incorrect heights can sink the calculation.

Issue: network not visible

• Use “Zoom to extent” in View.
• Ensure coordinates are not extremely large.
• Adjust background opacity in Settings.
• If MapTiler is blank, try refreshing the map or check your connection.

Issue: strange flows or velocities

• Confirm roughness and diameters; check the selected loss model.
• If you imported .inp, verify units match your configuration.

Issue: valves behaving oddly

• Check PRV/PSV setpoints and flow direction.
• Use the valve alerts panel for clamps/status and export a report.
