Add elements
- Node: in Network, pick node and click on the canvas. Set demand and elevation in the inspector.
- Pipe: select Draw Pipe, click the start node, add vertices with intermediate clicks, and finish on the end node. Set diameter, length (if manual), and roughness.
- Pump: create a pump node or convert a link; assign gain or a curve.
- Tank/Reservoir: add the node and define level or head.
Edit properties in the inspector
- Select the element to open the right panel.
- Change diameters, elevations, demands, valve setpoints, or pump data.
- DW roughness accepts decimals and displays with 1 decimal place.
- Save and recalc to see the impact.
Quick examples
- Change diameter: pick the critical pipe, increase diameter, recalc; check downstream pressure.
- Adjust elevation: correct a node’s elevation; recalc to see pressure change.
- Add a pump: insert a pump on the main line, set a simple gain, run, and check if low pressures improve.
Editing tips
- Use Move to tidy node positions; topology remains intact.
- Use Undo/Redo in Tools to revert mistakes.
- After importing
.inp, confirm units in Settings before editing. - While drawing pipes, Backspace/Delete removes the last vertex and Esc cancels.
